Chef Ronald Dutes' culinary journey is a testament to his passion, dedication, and talent. Growing up in a Haitian family, he was exposed to a rich tapestry of flavors and dishes that laid the foundation for his love of cooking. This early exposure ignited a fire within him to pursue his culinary dreams.

After completing high school, Chef Ron Dutes wasted no time in pursuing his passion professionally. He attended Johnson and Wales University, a renowned institution known for its culinary programs, where he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience. Armed with a strong culinary education, he embarked on a journey to immerse himself in the vibrant culinary scene of New York City.

His journey led him to the esteemed Blue Water Grill in Union Square, where he spent years perfecting his craft under the mentorship of seasoned professionals. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of the culinary arts and the intricacies of managing a high-profile restaurant.

Seeking to further expand his knowledge and skills, Chef Ron Dutes then worked alongside Chef Pedro Avila at David Burke Prime Steakhouse. Here, he not only refined his culinary techniques but also gained insights into the business side of hospitality, learning to manage people, food, and labor costs effectively.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, Chef Ron Dutes ventured into entrepreneurship, opening his own restaurant, Fatboy's Kitchen and Bar, situated in Connecticut waterfront. Here, he showcased his creativity and passion for innovative cuisine, delighting diners with flavorful and imaginative dishes that pushed the boundaries of traditional fare.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Chef Ron Dutes continues to push the boundaries of culinary excellence. Currently residing in Mexico City, he has  embarked on a new culinary adventure with Lazy Bear Personal Chefs, a concept that celebrates artistry and flavor in equal measure. With Chef Ron Dutes at the helm, patrons can expect nothing short of a culinary journey filled with sensational flavors and unforgettable experiences.

Introducing Fernanda Alvarez, the newest culinary talent to join Lazy Bear Personal Chefs! With over two decades of experience in the hospitality and events industry, Fernanda is a seasoned expert in creating extraordinary dining experiences that tantalize the taste buds and nourish the soul.

Throughout her career, Fernanda has left her mark on esteemed establishments such as Porsche, Louis Vuitton - Moet Hennessy, and Nestlé, orchestrating unforgettable events that captivated guests and left a lasting impression. Her culinary journey led her to Miami, where she curated menus and crafted PR strategies for acclaimed restaurants like Tacoology and Cantina La 20, elevating their dining experiences to new heights.

Passionate about connecting people through food, Fernanda has graced national television screens as a guest chef on programs like Despierta América and Un Nuevo Día, sharing her expertise and spreading joy through her innovative plant-based dishes. In 2019, she became the resident chef of the morning program Buenos Días Familia, captivating audiences with her infectious energy and delectable creations.

In 2020, Fernanda embarked on a new culinary adventure as co-owner of Manna Life Food in Downtown Miami, where she forged strategic alliances with local brands and curated special plant-based menus that delighted patrons. A steadfast ally of Cozymeal since 2019, Fernanda has co-hosted private social and corporate cooking experiences across Los Angeles, Miami, and Mexico City, bringing people together through the power of plant-based food.

Now, Fernanda returns to her roots in Mexico City, bringing her wealth of experience and unwavering passion for culinary excellence to Lazy Bear Personal Chefs.
